On September 7th we made the 6.5 hour trek out to Len Stellpflug's farm in upstate New York. We stayed in the 3 bedroom farm house that Len built himself. Len met us upon our arrival with a warm greeting and gracious hospitality. Len is a retired engineer from Kodak. He is now a commerical pumpkin farmer with approximately 8 acres of pumpkins, gords and indian corn. Len is also, of course, a lengendary giant pumpkin grower, truly one of the first world class "heavy hitters". Len arranged our itinerary for the trip. He spoke to Alan Nesbitt, Joe Pukos and Bob Mathews and put together a mini patch tour. We had the best time!
